The following terms and conditions apply to all orders placed through our online shop. Our online shop is intended exclusively for consumers.

A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession. A trader is a natural or legal person, or a partnership with legal capacity, acting in the exercise of their trade, business or profession when entering into a legal transaction.

2. Contracting party, formation of the contract and correction of errors

The purchase contract is concluded with Sonnen-Leder GmbH.

By displaying products in the online shop, we make a binding offer to enter into a contract for those products. You may initially place products in the shopping basket without obligation and correct your entries at any time before submitting your binding order, using the correction tools provided and explained during the ordering process. The contract is formed when you accept the offer for the products in your basket by clicking the order button. Immediately after submitting your order, you will receive a further confirmation by email.

We store the contract text and send you the order details and our terms and conditions in text form. You can view the contract text in your customer account.

Failure to report damage or contact us has no effect on your statutory rights or their enforcement, particularly your rights in respect of defects. Your assistance does, however, help us pursue our own claims against the carrier or transport insurer.

9. Statutory rights in respect of defects and guarantees

Statutory rights in respect of defects

Statutory rights in respect of defects apply. For the purchase of goods, the legal guarantee has a minimum duration of two years. Please also refer to the harmonised notice under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 concerning the legal guarantee for goods: Your legal guarantee rights.

10. Liability

We are always liable without limitation for damage caused by us, our legal representatives or persons acting on our behalf:

  • in the event of injury to life, body or health;
  • in the event of an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty;
  • under a guarantee, where agreed; or
  • where the German Product Liability Act applies.

If we, our legal representatives or persons acting on our behalf breach an essential contractual obligation through slight negligence, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract at the time it was concluded. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment is necessary for the proper performance of the contract and on whose observance the other party may regularly rely.

Otherwise, claims for damages are excluded.

11. Dispute resolution

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.

If individual provisions of these terms and conditions are wholly or partly invalid, the remainder of the contract remains effective. Where a provision is invalid, the statutory provisions determine the content of the contract.
